Where: Grab a spot close to the Auckland waterfront. 
Celebrate Auckland’s 183rd Birthday with the Vector light show on the Auckland waterfront. The light show can be seen all week from 9pm until midnight, every 15 minutes. 

Matakana Food & Beer Festival

Brought to you by George FM, Matakana Food & Beer festival is back. A short 45 minute drive from Auckland CBD, you have the opportunity to try a range of New Zealand brewers and be immersed in a world of food thanks to the Food Truck Collective. You enjoy a lineup of well known DJs such as Nice n’ Urlich with support from Bavhu, Nyntee, Nigel Love & more.

Auckland’s Anniversary Day celebrates the founding of Auckland. This is one of the world’s single biggest one day sailing regattas that will take place for the 183rd year. The first being back in 1840.  You will witness a spectacle of boats from tall ships, radio controlled dinghies, classic yachts, modern launches and vintage tugboats too. 

Laneway

Laneway 2023 features the world’s upcoming indie-rock and electronic dance music artists.  The star studded lineup includes 30+ acts including sets from The Jungle Giants, Fred Again, Slowthai, and Haim. After selling out in 30 minutes, Laneway has made the move to an even larger venue, after a 3 year hiatus, Auckland is ready to party.

Remember back in 2020 an emotional Elton John had to abandon his concert tour after a nasty bout of pneumonia left him barely able to blow out a candle in Auckland? Now he’s making good on his promise returning to our shores to conclude his final worldwide tour. Brush up on your Elton lyrics, put on some sparkles and join him for the very last time in Christchurch and Auckland.

The Wingman Festival

New Zealand’s most remote festival, hosted on the beautiful Great Barrier Island. This is not just a music festival, ticket holders can attend workshops hosted throughout the festival. The lineup includes artists such as Summer Thrives, Knights of the Dub Table and more. Proceeds from the ticket sales go towards schooling on Great Barrier Island.
