These classic scones make for a delightful afternoon tea treat.
Makes 6 large or 8 medium
Ingredients
3 cups flour
1½ cups dates, chopped
1½ tablespoons baking powder
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 apple, grated
1 cup lemonade
1 cup coconut milk
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Using your hands, roll the dough out onto a lightly floured and clean surface. Shape into a long log and cut into 6-8 scones, depending on what size you’d like to make them.
2. Bake them in the oven for 20 minutes and serve them up with some jam and freshly whipped coconut cream!
